Plan a reader centered book launch
Build a launch plan around the readers you hope to reach, the material you can prepare and the time you can sustain.
A useful launch plan begins with a clear description of the book and its likely readers. That clarity helps an author choose which messages, channels and materials are worth preparing.
Work backward from the release date to identify decisions that need lead time: final cover files, a polished description, advance copies where appropriate, an author biography and a small set of shareable assets.
Choose a realistic cadence. A few thoughtful communications are often easier to maintain than a crowded calendar of posts. Decide how you will respond to reader questions and which activities you can continue after release.
Review what happened against the goals you set. Visibility and engagement can be observed; sales, rankings and media coverage cannot be promised by a plan.
