Prepare a manuscript for review
A few practical decisions can make an assessment more focused and the feedback easier to use.
Before sharing a draft, decide what you want to learn. You might be asking whether the structure is clear, whether the intended audience is apparent, or which revision should come first.
Provide the current draft rather than combining multiple versions without explanation. A short note about genre, audience, word count and the manuscript's stage helps an editor understand the context. If a section is intentionally unfinished, say so.
You do not need to pre solve every issue. The purpose of an assessment is to identify patterns and options. Clear questions help focus the report; an honest account of what is still in progress helps set a realistic scope.
